Environment
A great way to help us clean up our planet would be to eliminate many of the physical objects that we use and buy every day.
“...the production methods currently used are not sustainable. They are large in scale, have long histories, and have been extensively researched and developed, but they can’t go on in their present form. The status quo uses archaic forms of energy and materials which are finite and toxic. They wreck the climate, poison the populace and foment resource wars. They have no future,” (Wild 1,3).
This could be solved by replacing a lot of the physical objects we use with non-physical, or digital objects. An example of this today would be our purchasing of digital media online and storing it on our computers. This, in theory, can help reduce the amount of products (like DVD’s and CD’s) that we produce every year. However, this just isn’t making a huge difference at present.
